GROUPS AND WORKSHOP
RATES
Because group participation is vital in order to create an evironment of safety, support, and cohesiveness, pricing for Group Counseling and Workshop series will be based on the month, and not per session. Group membership and some Workshops will also require an initial individual intake session to make sure group counseling will be the best option for you.
Interpersonal Processing Group
So what exactly is an Interpersonal Processing Group? In short, interpersonal group counseling is a powerful outlet for clients to learn more about themselves and their relationships with others. At Aurora, a safe and engaging environment will help you explore your emotions and learn how to attune to the feelings of others in the present moment. Over time, you will begin to understand your identity and relationship patterns better, and develop new skills to improve the quality of your relationships. Groups will be created for teens, college students, and adults, which will meet once a week for one hour and 15 minutes.
Mindful Meditation Workshop Series
The Mindful Meditation Workshop is a re-occurring series with a different mindfulness topic and activity every week. At Aurora, you will learn different strategies for stress reduction and relaxation, and why these exercises are scientifically supported to improve wellness. Topics include breath work, guided imagery, drumming, body scans, and more.
Trauma Survivors Group
Group counseling has demonstrated to be an effective tool to help support clients with a history of physical, emotional, psychological, and sexual maltreatment. The Trauma Survivors Group at Aurora aims to create a compassionate setting to safely engage with others who share similar experiences. This group endeavors to provide you and others with the social support needed to help transform feelings of shame, distress, and isolation into feelings of empowerment, strength, and resilience. Groups will be created for teens, college students, and adults, which will meet once a week for one hour and 15 minutes.
Healing Toxic Love Series
The Healing Toxic Love Series is a 10-session processing and educational experience based on Dr. Laura Copley's self-help book, Loving You is Hurting Me.
